25 Years of Hum Aapke Hai Koun!  Whom would we cast in the movie if it was remade now!

Hum Aapke Hai Koun! recently celebrated 25 years of its release and its lead cast including Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit held a special screening of the film. The movie which is an iconic family drama, is a favourite of all 90s kids. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the movie was a super hit at the box-office, setting many trends with each song being a chartbuster.

Since remakes are the toast of the season, we were wondering whom we would like to see in the movie if it was remade now, 25 years after the release. Here’s our wishlist!

Salman Khan – Ranbir Kapoor

Honestly, we can’t think of any other actor who has the innocence, talent, good looks and inimitable charm other than Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir would be the perfect new age Prem who is not only a good boyfriend but also the ideal brother!

Madhuri Dixit – Alia Bhatt

Though technically, we haven’t seen their pairing on-screen yet, we are sure it will be a crackling one in Brahmastra. Ranbir and Alia will be the perfect new-age Prem and Nisha, complimenting each other perfectly well. Also, Alia is just as bubbly, fun and chirpy as Madhuri’s character was in the film.

Mohnish Behl – Ajay Devgn

As the shy, calm and kind Rajesh, we believe the talented Ajay Devgn would be a perfect choice. Since the movie also focused on the brothers and their sweet relationship, we are sure Ranbir and Ajay would fit the bill completely.

Renuka Shahane – Radhika Apte

We are sure you didn’t see this coming but wouldn’t Radhika be the unconventional yet apt choice! She would look great opposite Ajay Devgn and is just as warm, kind and loving as Pooja’s character was. Also, given her talent, is there any role Radhika can’t do?

Alok Nath – Anil Kapoor

We would love to see the forever young Anil Kapoor in the role of the sanskari babuji. It sure will be a complete departure from his last few roles such as the ones in Dil Dhadakne Do and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga!
