Parineeti Chopra massively trolled for her coronavirus ‘mask’ post

With the deadly Coronavirus travelling to different parts of the world, people across the globe have been trying to save themselves from the highly spread virus. Not just masses, our Bollywood celebrities too are taking full care of themselves while travelling at the airport and spreading awareness on the current situation of Coronavirus outbreak. We have seen Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Leone- Daniel Weber, Kartik Aaryan flaunting their masked faces at the airport and now Parineeti Chopra is the latest addition to the list. The actor shared a few pictures of herself wearing a mask to protect herself from the deadly outbreak on Instagram.

In the pictures, the actress is spotted in a casual ensemble comprising folded jeans, a white loose shirt and white sneakers. She had a stylish olive-and-beige Louis Vuitton bag slung across her shoulder.

While Parineeti did this with good intentions, her post rubbed netizens the wrong way and she got brutally trolled for it. While some criticized the actress for posing with her Louis Vuitton fanny pack and commercializing a serious situation, others pointed out that she is wearing a wrong mask and then there were some who took potshots at her acting and choice of films.

A user wrote, “Are u promoting awareness about the virus or flaunting how cool u look with the mask on?” Another user wrote, “God forbid if some of your acquaintance dies, you’ll do a photoshoot with sad face in white saree and upload on twitter with caption Sad, but I guess this is the situation now. Stay safe guys.”

Parineeti is currently in Lakshadweep for her upcoming sports drama – ‘Saina’. In addition to the sports drama, Parineeti Chopra will also be seen in Ribhu Dasgupta’s psychological thriller, The Girl On The Train which is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 8 next year. Parineeti will play the role of an alcoholic divorcee, who gets involved in a missing person’s investigation case.
