Its Kangana Ranaut vs Hrithik Roshan once again! ‘Mental Hai Kya’ to clash with ‘Super 30’ on July 26
Looks like the box office battle between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut hasn’t been avoided as the latters upcoming film ‘Mental Hai Kya’ which was slated for a June 21 release has now been shifted to July 26. Now, it clearly means that it’s going to be Kangana vs Hrithik at the box office. For the unreserved, Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 was supposed to be a solo release during Republic Day weekend, however soon came the announcement of Kangana starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi to release on the same day. But later on, for various reasons Hrithik’s Super 30 was pushed to July 26.
But it seems the clash wasn’t averted after all, now that Kangana and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Mental Hai Kya’ which was earlier slated to release on June 21, along with Shahid Kapoor’s much anticipated ‘Kabir Singh’, will now clash with Hrithik’s Super 30 on July 26. Sources say that the makers of Super 30 may push their film’s release to August 9 to avoid a clash with Mental Hai Kya.

As per a report by Bollywood Life, it is Ekta Kapoor, who is thinking practically and is planning to postpone the movie to ensure that there’s no impact on the business. Reports suggest that although the official announcement hasn’t been made yet, Super 30 is now slated for an August 9th release. “Ekta (Kapoor) has assured it would be a dignified release. No mudslinging, it was a pure business call as suggested by a top research agency, keeping the releases a week before and ahead in mind. Super 30 being pushed to August 9,” revealed a source close to the development.
The history of controversies that took place in 2016 between the two is well known to all cinephile. It all started when in an interview Kangana spoke about her ‘Silly Exes’. In response, Hrithik had tweeted that he would rather date the pope than any of the women being mentioned in the media. That set off a series of ugly exchanges between the stars in the media. Kangana accused Hrithik of dating her behind his wife Sussanne’s back, an allegation Hrithik has denied. He has in turn claimed that he never dated Kangana or knew her beyond their professional commitments.
It is now to be seen whether the movies clash or not, but looks like Kangana isn’t letting go of the bad blood anytime soon.
