Boney Kapoor couldn’t control his tears while unveiling Sridevi’s statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore

Powerhouse performer, Late Sridevi’s wax statue was recently posthumously unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore. Present at the unveiling were the late actor’s husband Boney  Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor , Khushi Kapoor and brother in law Sanjay Kapoor.

The family was extremely emotional at the launch and couldn’t stop gazing the wax figure. Prior to the unveiling, when Boney took to stage to speak a few words about his wife, he couldn’t hold himself back as he broke down remembering the beautiful actor. While Janhvi and Khushi smiled through tearful eyes, it was evident how much they miss their mother. Janhvi was even seen holding her father’s hand and supporting him through and through.

The Producer said, “She was my wife and I love her & loved her beyond imagination but I also respected her art, the passion and dedication with which she committed herself to her work. But an hour such as this, makes it abundantly evident that she lives on through her work.”

On Sridevi’s birthday this year, the museum had announced that they would be introducing a wax statue dedicated to the actor. They had tweeted, “Happy birthday @SrideviBKapoor As a tribute to Bollywood icon, we are pleased to announce that we will be launching her wax figure in early September this year! Her figure is one of its kind in the world, and it’s an exclusive addition to Madame Tussauds Singapore!”

On 2nd September, Boney had taken to Twitter to share a video of the process of making of Sridevi’s statue. He had written, “Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madam Tussauds, Singapore on September 4, 2019.”
