Aparshaki Khurana and Pranutan Bahl to star in quirky comedy ‘Helmet’
After entertaining the audience with supporting roles that of hero’s bestie or brother, the talented Aparshakti Khurrana is all set to tickle our funny bones as a lead actor in the upcoming film titled Helmet. He will be seen opposite ‘Notebook’ fame Pranutan Bahl, who made her Bollywood debut this year. The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in pivotal roles. The quirky comedy is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and actor Dino Morea’s production house, DM Movies.
The makers of the film shared an animated video on social to give an insight of what’s instore for the viewers. Helmet is a funny script which touches upon a topic that is considered embarrassing for most people in India, and will showcase the same in a funny and entertaining manner. The film has gone on floors in Varanasi and is scheduled to release in 2020.
The film will mark directorial debut of Satram Ramani, who has previously assisted Prabhudheva, Pooja Bhatt and Sohail Khan. Rohan Shankar, who previously wrote the script of ‘Luka Chuppi’ has been roped in as the writer.
Interestingly, the news comes a day after his brother and National Award winner actor Ayushmann Khurrana stated that his younger brother deserves to be a lead actor.
“It’s very difficult to become a character actor and engage people. Aparshakti has done an amazing job in his recent films and I think he deserves to be a lead actor,” said Ayushmann at an event.
