AIB releases new statement, Tanmay Bhatt steps down as CEO, Gursimran Khamba is fired!
Looks like, the once popular comedy collective, All India Bakchod (AIB) is headed towards dissolution. The popular creative team headlined by Tanmay Bhatt, Gursimran Khamba, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya came under the scanner in the wake of #MeToo movement where severe allegations were made against Bhatt and Khamba.
As per the latest official statement released by the team, Bhatt’s lapse of judgement in the entire Utsav Chakraborty incident has resulted in him no longer holding the position of CEO. Whereas a committee was appointed to investigate into the allegations made against Khamba. However, he had issues with the procedure and hence chose to step away from the process. This has resulted in the investigation remaining incomplete and Khamba being sacked from the team.
The official Youtube page of the team is also defunct. All the members will now be working independently. Since most of the creative and administration team has also scouted for prospects outside the company, AIB is pretty much non-functional. They also had to let go of their office space as there was no incoming revenue with partners disassociating themselves from the group.

When the Utsav Chakraborty fiasco was out in the open in October, Bhatt had tweeted an apology, “After confronting Utsav, he said he sent the picture by accident, later called the victim crying, apologizing, hence harassing her further. I should’ve ended ties then, and I didn’t, and it is my fault. I’m truly sorry. I should’ve acted stronger.”
Currently, Joshi and Shakya have continued with their stand-up specials, while Khamba and Bhatt have remained off the circuit.
